Tips to sell your home quickly
in 2013 with John Matthews

With the housing market still in a terrible mess with sales at their lowest in years - knowing what people are looking for in your property, and what sells is essential. Being able to sell your home swiftly and to still achieve a good price is difficult - but not impossible.

Here are a very simple, and easy to implement tips to start with:

" Viewings - first impressions last. Make sure your home is shown off to its very best from the start of your viewings.

" Garden - is it neat and tidy? The garden or entrance to your home is the very first thing a prospective buyer will see.

" De-clutter and ensure everything is neat and tidy. Too much stuff around can make your home look smaller than it actually is.

" A good clean - ensure that your home has had a good clean from top to toe.

" A lick of paint - if your home requires it then spending a few hundred pounds on paint and a weekend of hard work can really pay dividends when it comes to selling.

" If you have a dog ensure they are not in the house when you do any viewings. Also, be aware of any dog smells that may need attention.

" De-personalise - this helps any prospective buyer to imagine what it would be like for them to live in the property.

" Don't be afraid to sell the benefits of your property - is it near any popular schools, bus routes or popular walks or attractions.

" Is your property for sale at an attractive price? Compare to others that have sold on the same street in a similar condition.

" Lastly - ensure that you get feedback from viewings as it important that you learn what they likely and didn't like about your home.

The above are some basic and common-sense ways to sell your home for the
price you deserve - quickly. Good Luck!
